How to Kick Start Your Dream Life

I feel like everyone has dreams about how they would like their life to be. Whether it be traveling or finding a soul mate, everyone has dreams or goals in life. There may be things holding us down from achieving our dreams through like money, people, or fear. You can start living your dream life once you make an action plan on how you will achieve what you want to achieve. I will say if you are here reading this because I want a six million dollar mansion or something than I can't really help you because your dream is out of reach most likely. I am here writing this for the everyday kind of person who is looking for more passion and fulfillment in life. Now here I'm going to explain the types of steps you need to take and what mindset you need to have when it comes to achieving your dream life. I also want to describe to you guys my dream life. So let's get into it.
If you want to achieve your dreams you have to try to be optimistic about life. When you are optimistic about life you can get more out of life and your chances of achieving your dreams are higher if you develop a more optimistic mindset. Now I do understand for some people it's easier said than done but try your best to always stay positive even when life gets hard. You also have to motivate yourself to have a good day everyday even when you are having a bad day. You can always turn a bad day around to make it better if you try hard enough. Just make the most out of everyday to your best ability and you will notice that you will be happier if you live everyday to the fullest. Your chances of achieving your dreams will be higher since you are putting more effort into having a good day. And what I like to say is that when you have a good day everyday you will have a good life.
You can only start living the life you love once you let go of what is holding you back. Really think about what you want to get out of life and think about what is in your way of you getting to your dream life. You have to be realistic with yourself too to see if your goals are even possible. Now whatever is holding you back from living the life you want to live, let go of it. Letting go is the hard part but once you let go of whatever is in your way you will feel absolute bliss. Once you let go you can finally be close to achieving your dreams.
Taking action is the key way for you to achieve your dream life and if you don't take action nothing will ever happen for you. Think about how you will achieve your goals and put together an action plan for that goal. Once you have your plan together take action on it and if you are really determined you will likely succeed.
Now I want to talk about what my dream life is. I would want a simple and happy life. I want to live minimally and work to sustain myself instead of living to work. I want to see things and have new experiences everyday. I want to be connected to earth and always be surrounded by nature. I want to be spontaneous and adventurous but not dumb. I want to be somewhat of a globe trotter and travel the world. I may only travel for a little due to finances but while I'm not traveling I want to live in a nice shack by the lake. I would rather chase waterfalls than chase materialistic things in life. To me experiences are always better than stuff. I for sure want to live by the water too because I love water. I want to have a good day everyday and I never want to regret anything in life. I don't see myself having an ordinary life and working 9-5 chasing the American dream. I want to work as much as I need to to support my minimal lifestyle and I want to go do cool stuff everyday. I don't want a lot of stuff in life I just want to have a lot of good experiences. While it's nice having money it's not everything in life, your happiness is always number one in life.

I feel like I have achieved my dream life emotional wise but travel wise I have not achieved my goal because I am only a high school student and school is my life as of now. I can't travel right now because I live with my parents and I got a lot of stuff going on but the travel thing will come at a later time in my life. I do live a simple and happy life with no regrets and I am proud of that. I always surround myself with nature because it makes me feel good, and I am always doing some cool stuff. I feel like I have achieved my dream life somewhat and the only part that is missing is the travel part of it. But the cool thing is that It's not missing that much because I went to the Outer Banks this year already and I will be going to the Mountains on Sunday for cross country camp. I usually go somewhere every year so travel is still in my life y'all and I like traveling a lot.

Recently I've been inspired by people who live in a van or a tiny house because they don't have much holding them down and they can just go wherever they want and see the world. To me that would be really cool just to do that for a year or something. I feel like there would be challenges of living that small but I feel like it would be very liberating at the same time. But anyways I feel like I have talked enough so we will end the post!! I'll see you guys on Friday with another blog post. Take care!

How to Style Stripes For Summer

Hey guys! The stripe trend is here for summer, and I wanted to talk about how to style this super cute trend. Stripes can be paired with almost anything but what I usually do is balance out a printed piece of clothing with a more neutral, solid piece of clothing. This creates a sense of balance, and it's also playful because you can play with the print but you don't over do it. Now girl if you want to wear two different prints you are rocking it, and you do you. I'm just suggesting a more casual way to wear stripes if you want to wear it that way, but there are no rules to fashion.

In this look I styled a blue striped top with some basic pink shorts. If you have not noticed already I have been loving the colors pink, and blue paired together! I also wanted this look to look a little beachy chic so I added some sunglasses, some birkenstocks, and a couple of bracelets. This look is super cute for summer, and I can't wait to wear more outfits like this. To speak about this look, I have been wearing my look alike birks a ton! They are really comfy, and I love how they can look cute with almost any outfit. Also guys do I look more tan or what? Your girl has been going out in the sun a lot, and I think I look more tan. But let me know what you think.

Outfit Details: My top is from Old Navy, the shorts are from Target, the shoes are from Kohl's, the sunglasses are from T.J. Maxx, the blue watch is from Garmin, my bracelet is from Leo Mazzotti, and the ankle bracelet I made myself.

Thanks for tuning in, and you will see me again on Friday with a new post on what I'm packing for the Outer Banks next week. I'm so excited to be a beach bum because I am a true beach bum at heart! Plus I have never been to the Outer Banks before, and I heard it's totally awesome, so I can't wait.

How to pack light for vacation

Hey guys I thought I might do a post about how to pack light for vacation, because I am going to Charleston on Tuesday for a two day trip. It will just be me, and my mom who are going to Charleston because my family worked out a deal. It was either go on vacation or get a bike, and I chose going on vacation over the bike. My brother got a bike, and he's staying back. And my dad likes staying behind on the vacations anyways, and I can just use his bike when I want to. So it all works out. Originally we were going to go to Emerald Isle, but it's going to be raining when we wanted to go, so instead we're going to Charleston. It will be raining in Charleston too on the days we are going, but we don't think it's a big deal because Charleston is all about the art galleries, food, and shopping. I'm very excited, and so is my mom. I've never been to Charleston so this will be a good experience. From the photos I saw, it is very pretty there, and I like the architecture.

You may think you need a ton of stuff when packing for vacation, but what if I told you that you only need a few basics. A lot of us make the excuse that we need something when packing. You may say to yourself, "that's just in case if we go here", or "lets bring this just in case it gets cold". We all make those excuses to stuff our bags to the brim. But if you look past all those maybes, you will be able to pack less. So here are some packing tips to help you pack light.

When you pack only what you think you will use it eliminates the sense of packing things that you know you won't use. Actually when I was younger I would pack a giant duffel bag for only a two day vacation, and I enjoyed packing a ton of extra stuff, even though I didn't use it. It was like my entertainment, and now fast forward when I pack for a two day trip, all I take is my backpack. This tip would have helped me a lot when I was younger.

Long trips cause you to stuff your suitcases full of too many things. But you can prevent this by only packing for a week. I know no one really wants to do laundry over vacation, but it is a way to save luggage space. That way you can just reuse the same clothing, and wash it. What happens a lot of the time with stuff like toiletries, you usually end up packing more toiletries than you actually need, so it will be hard to run out of product in the first place. But then if you run out you can go to the local store to pick up more of a product if you run out of something. With toiletries, most hotels provide basic things like shampoo, and conditioner, and soap, so if your hotel offers that then you really don't have to worry about packing those basic things.

Plan ahead on what shoes you want to wear, check the temperature, and pick what shoes your going to wear depending on what you will be doing on vacation. What I usually do is wear one pair of shoes for the whole trip, that way I don't have to have shoes taking up extra space. I know in some situations, you will need two pairs of shoes, so just pack accordingly based on the conditions. Lets say you do what I do, where you only have one pair of shoes on vacation, make sure that they are versatile for all situations. Not just for one dinner, or one day at the pool, if you know what I mean.

A lot of people carry around extra stuff in their wallet or purse that they may not actually need for the vacation. So to save space in your bag, only pack what is essential for the vacation. Especially for girls this tip applies the most because woman usually always have their purse filled full of stuff that they don't even know is in there. So only carrying what is essential is a very liberating feeling, and it's good to only have what you essentially need.

This tip actually works because it makes you evaluate what you're going to pack more since you have less space to work with. I tried this, and it actually made me think more decisively about the stuff that I was packing for vacation. Packing a smaller, and more light bag also feels very liberating, and it creates a mental sense of freedom in a way.

That was all my tips for packing light, get excited for a Charleston travel diary post coming up next week. Thanks for reading, and I'll see you guys next week!

Spring cleaning: Your closet

It's getting to be spring time, which means it's time for some spring cleaning. I mean it doesn't even have to be spring to do some cleaning. So in this post I'm going to be giving you tips and tricks on how to tackle your closet. The closet is probably the most unorganized place in the whole house. It's where we put all of our stuff. A lot of us just cram everything we own into a 5 foot space. And then when you open it, you know it's a disaster, but you're too lazy to clean it. According to closetandstorageconcepts.com, "We wear 20% of the clothes we own 80% of the time. The rest just hang in our closets”. You guys already should know what I’m about to say, but for reals why do you still have clothing in your closet that you don’t even wear?!

Step one- if you don’t wear it, donate it, because someone else could get use out of it.

Another way to remove the excess and make your closet simpler is to only have your closet be for clothes, because that should be the only purpose of a closet. I mean who wants to be going through a closet with a bunch of jungle jam in there, just have your clothing and other things you wear, like hats, shoes, etc. This eliminates stress and the feeling of not knowing what’s in your closet. It also creates a sense of organization because you know where all of your clothing is, that way you don’t have to go looking for it.

Step 2-Eliminate jungle jam from your closet and only have your closet be for clothing.

Don’t fall into the storage industry trap, bins and lockers don’t fix the problem. The only way you will achieve true organization is to let go of all the excess(the stuff that you don’t use or get joy from). Once you let go of the excess you will be more stress free. You won’t have to worry about misplacing stuff or where something is, because when you have less stuff, there is less to worry about, and you will know exactly where all your stuff is.

Step 3-Understand that bins, and lockers don’t fix the problem, and the only way to fix the problem is to let go of the excess.

Once you let go of the excess and get it down to the stuff that you use and brings you joy, color coat your clothing so that it will be even easier to pick what you are wearing. This eliminates the sense of not knowing what’s in your closet even more. I do this to my closet and I love it because it looks really pretty and organized. It literally only takes me four seconds to pick out clothes because of this feature.

Step 4-Color coat your closet

To make things easier you can even try to fit your dresser or a bookshelf in your closet that way all your clothing and accessories are right in one place. I can only fit my bookshelf in my closet and I use it to store all my shoes and my purses. That way you can just grab and go. This may not be realistic for some people’s closets, but if you can fit these things in your closet, you minus well put it in there.

Step 5-If you can fit your bookshelf or dresser in your closet then put it in to make everything all in one place.

If you have extra space you can decorate your closet with art or other cool things to make it more visually appealing. I love home decor so you will always see me spicing up my closet if I have extra room. It adds personality and makes your closet more fun to walk into. Another thing that you could do would be to make all of your hangers the same color, it creates a nice vibe, and it’s good for people that have ocd about how things look. I have all my hangers the same color because to me, it creates a more organized, fresh vibe.

Step 6-Add finishing touches

I hope you guys liked my tips and tricks on closet organization. I'm thinking of making a whole spring cleaning series on here but I'm not sure. I'm always thinking of new ideas. We will see, but I’ll be back next week with a new post on my march favorites.

How to cozy up for the cold seasons

It is the season of cozy! Now you don't want to be that one person who is always cold right? So here in this guide I will tell you step by step on how you can cozy up for the colder seasons

Step 1: Make sure you have enough warmth in your house
Houses can get freezing during the colder seasons, especially if  the heat is not always on. You can cozy up and get warm by having extra blankets laying around, and also wearing a robe or super cozy PJ's. Honestly being warm under a blanket is the definition of fall and winter(at least it is to me).

Step 2: Wear cute fall and winter clothes
I find myself feeling more cozy when I'm wearing a cute fall or winter outfit. Maybe It's just because I'm a girl but like aye I get cold so easily so I need to wear those extra layers.

Step 3: Listen to Holiday music
Let me tell you I'm obsessed with Christmas music and it puts me in that cozy mood that I love. But it also leaves me with getting hype for Christmas on November 1st. I'm literally almost done decorating my room for Christmas, and my parents are letting me decorate the house on Thanksgiving. So I'm hype for decorating, it seems like I'm a Christmas elf because I just love Christmas and I'm always thinking of new ideas for Christmas in general.

Step 4: Cuddle with your loved ones
This may be your dog, or whoever. I love cuddling my puppy, she's my sweet little baby. Cuddling puts you in the cozy mood, and yo like who doesn't like being all cozy and warm.

Step 5: Make it smell like the Holidays
Thanksgiving is like 1 millimeter away and Christmas is like 5 centimeters away, so making your home smell like the holidays is a must. Honestly to me Thanksgiving isn't that big of a deal, but Christmas is a huge deal. I'm a crazy Christmas person. So anyways you can get a candle if you want an easy way to make your home smell good, but there is many other ways. So let's start with thanksgiving, honestly all you need to do is bake a turkey and boom you got your cozy turkey smell, or if you don't want to cook a turkey you could go for whatever food smell that you love, so just cook food and boom. Now onto Christmas, so all you need for this is yard clippings(preferably pine, evergreen, or Christmas tree clippings). Then you just use the clippings in your Christmas decorations to make it smell good, and the cool thing about doing this is that It is a long lasting smell. For example if you have garland, you just put the clippings in the garland to make the garland look more full and smell good. I'm probably going to do a whole post on Christmas greenery(garland, trees, etc) because there is many amazing secrets to Christmas greenery. I've been using this method in my Christmas decorating and my mom walked in my room and said "it smells like Christmas in here", it is really funny how this simple technique works.

So that was all my steps, I'm probably going to be doing a Christmas greenery post on my blog next week, or it will be about thanksgiving. I'm not sure, You'll just have to see.

Ways to relax

I made another youtube video on my channel. I thought I would make a video since I have not made one in a while. So here it is. In the video I bascially just talk about how you can relax. I think this video will be great for people that have a hard time relaxing.

The impact that technology has on you that you don't realize

Technology is everywhere, it's in your home, it's in your work, it's in your school, it's pretty much anywhere where you can think of.
Now think about how it's effecting your life. Is it enriching your life? Are you learning something?
Analyze how you use technology.

If you're just surfing from one social media to another and back to the first one, you're not being enriched. If you are doing that I think you're lost in the glow of your screen. You don't have to get caught up on the latest gossip or whatever it may be. All that social media won't matter in a couple of days, you will just forget about it. Try spending less time on social media because you really don't realize how much time it takes up.

Urgency is a major thing in technology that people don't really realize. The average person checks their phone one hundred sixty times a day. Now isn't that a little obsessive? I see kids all over my school that get a Snapchat  in Thier inbox and reply to it immediately. You know a lot of the time it's just a picture of a wall or something. Is it really that urgent that you need to see that wall immediately? Come on people. It's not like someone is dying or something so therefore you don't need to check it immediately. But if someone is dieing then I can understand the urgency.

Laziness is another thing that people don't realize about technology. You can do a lot online by just sitting on your butt. My dad used to work at A & B Store Fixtures and he worked with some lazy people. They were lazy because they were playing games on thier Iphone instead of working. Now in days people always feel like they need to be entertained so they spend lots of time using technology. The average person spends five hours a day watching TV. That's a crazy number and I'm sure the number will just keep growing. People sure love the entertainment but it definitely makes us lazy.

I hope this article made you think about how you use technolgy. You choose how you want to use technology. But I hope I helped you become more aware of certain things.

How to deal with your dog

Dogs are dogs. They will chew at everything. They will want to play. They will misbehave. That is just how dogs are.

Tips
*Close the doors to some areas that would be dangerous for your dog and close the door if they could chew on something that you don't want chewed.
*Make sure you close the toilet seat thing because they will want to go in there and drink/eat the stuff in the toilet.
*Take them on multiple walks a day if they have lots of energy because then they can calm down and it's like a weight off your shoulders.
*You gotta play with your dog, be a good dog owner people.
*Don't underfeed or overfeed your dog you just need the right amount for your dog to be healthy and to grow.
*If they start being aggressive try to eliminate the person/thing that is causing the aggression
*Teach your dog stuff man(I taught snookerdoddle right shake, also she chewed up that stuffed animal in the picture)
*Take your dog to regular vet visits, you need to make your your dog is healthy.
*Treat your dog with care and kindness. I absolutely hate people who mistreat their dog. If you mistreat your dog it just shows how much of an asshole you are. Please, anyone if you know someone who mistreats an animal try to take that animal away from the abuser. I'm really passionate about treating animals with care if you didn't know that already.
*Make sure you take your dog out to take a dump or go pee because I'm pretty sure you don't want them to pee or poop in your place.
*If they do something good reward them and if they do something bad crate them.
*Try to keep your dog off the countertops because there is food they can get to
