A Little Athleisure Look

Hello guys I'm back with another post. Today I'll be sharing a cute athletic look because workout clothes are always so comfy, and such a must. It seems like i am always wearing workout clothes so i wanted to show a look where i am wearing workout clothes. I love this look because it's so comfy, yet also really cute. This look also shows off my legs a little bit too because the top is cropped, so you can see my build. I am a competitive runner so i do have some leg muscle on me. To talk about my pants, they are so comfy!!! I love wearing them, and they look great. If you also could not tell i am squinting in these photos because it was so bright outside while taking these pictures haha.

As you can also see i am posing with some Starbucks. I love Starbucks even through they are expensive, but what i do is only go there when i have a gift card. It's like girl who wants to pay 5 dollars for a drink?? Not me, but i love their frappes, and some of their fruit refreshers are good. Also shout out to my best friend who took these photos for me. I am so grateful for her because she is such an amazing friend, and has always been there for me no matter what. I am kind of going through a tough time right now with my old friend Sarah, and I'm taking steps to make it better, and having a best friend to help me through it all means so much. If want to read more about friendship, and what's going on you can read about it here

Starting Spring Early

Spring is barely here, but we have been having warmer weather where i live so therefore i can say it's spring. I literally hate winter with a passion, and it's funny because my friends all say i start spring too early. Like i'm not kidding if it's a seventy degree day you already know i'm getting my tan on even if it's January. So with spring around the corner i wanted to share a spring look. Also look how dreadfully pale i am!! I really need to get dark again. I was actually looking at a bunch of tropical photos on Instagram, and i'm craving to go on a tropical getaway trip.

This kind of a dress is good for a casual day out downtown, or if there is some kind of social event. It's a cute, and season appropriate because there is flowers on the dress. When i initially got this dress from Ruufe i was a little apprehensive about the royal blue because i don't really wear that color blue, but i think it looks really cute.  I'm starting my spring Instagram theme early just in case if you didn't know already. I am just so ready for it to fully warm up, and i can't wait to be rocking the bikinis while i'm at my best friend Gabby's pool. That's not for a while through, so i can dream of bikini weather while it's forty eight degrees and raining

Outfit Details: My dress is from Ruufe, my shoes are from Dansko, my glasses are from Coach.

That's all for today's post. I hope i inspired you guys with spring outfit ideas. I will be sharing more spring looks soon. Have a good rest of your week guys!

Finding Your Real Friends, and How It Can Be Hard

Hello guys i am back with another post. I was initially just going to post an outfit and be done, but i wanted to talk about finding your real friends, and how hard it can be sometimes. So if you guys didn't already know i am a junior in high school, and high school can be pretty shallow sometimes if you're not friends with the right people. Long story short i recently had a "fight" happen in my friend group so this is why i wanted to touch on this subject just to spread the awareness to always choose your friends wisely, and be careful who you hang out with. So to tell what happened, i have this one insecure friend who posted on her snapchat story "why don't people like hanging out with me". And some background on her: She has a lot of mental issues, and she is always complaining, and angry. So i commented something like "i don't know. Maybe because you are always angry". After that she just went off, but i wasn't trying to offend her, i was just trying answer her question just based off of how she acts. I was just being realistic, but maybe i said it too bluntly. I feel a little at fault because i should have thought more about my answer because she is really sensitive, and takes everything really personally. Then she blocked me on snapchat after going off on me. I don't get it because i was just trying to answer her question, but i think i could have done it in a better way. She has also blocked my best friend Gabby on snapchat, even through Gabby didn't say anything to her that was hurtful. She was saying stuff to me like, "you make half my problems worse". I didn't fight back because i don't want to stoop to her level, i just defended myself, and if it gets any worse i will go talk to a school counselor about it because I'm not going to let myself get bullied. And just to put it out there, you should never blame your problems on someone else, because it's your problem. I get it if you readers feel as if I'm at fault, and maybe i am, i was just trying to answer her question.

If you couldn't tell I'm trying to keep this generic because i don't want to tell every detail, but some of the stuff she said to me was nasty, and i will be speaking out about it for sure because no one deserves to be bullied, or yelled at. Finding your real friends can be hard, and it takes time. I'm just so glad that i decided to get into track, and cross country because i met really great friends through that, and those friends are like my squad now. In your younger years especially friends may come and go, and the real ones will be great to you and stay, you just have to find those friends. This situation really taught me to be more careful with how i word things because people could take it the wrong way. Me and this "friend" may stop being friends for all i know, but she is mad at me. If the best thing is to stop being friends with her, then I'll leave if i have to. It's not bad to leave a toxic friend at all because that just means more space for better friends. It can just be hard sometimes to find the right kind of people for you because everyone is so diverse, and sometimes it takes a while to weed through the crowd and see who you really should be hanging out with. I remember when i met my best friend Gabby my sophomore year of high school, and now we are like family. I'm so grateful to have Gabby as my best friend, and i'm really glad i met her because she is the closest friend i ever had. Like yeah i had best friends in middle school, but i was not as close to them as i am with Gabby. So it just goes to show that it can take some time to find the right people for you, but once you do it will be awesome.

Outfit details: My top is from Target, my jeans are from Kohl's, my boots are from Macy's, my watch is from Garmin, and my glasses are from Coach.

I hope ya'll enjoyed this, and i would love to hear your thoughts on this subject. I'm just feeling a bit torn because i don't know what i did wrong, i just think i could have worded it in a better way. Let me know your thoughts.

Custom Cards For Valentines Day

Valentines day is just around the corner, and that means spending time with your loved one, or being forever alone and eating ice cream by yourself in the corner. Which ever persona you are now is the time to start thinking of gift ideas, and if you guys didn't already check out my His and Hers Valentines Day Guide you can check it out here. I know not everyone is into Valentines day, but Valentines day would be a good time to show some love, even if you don't have a significant other. I came across Basic Invite, and they actually do custom invitations, and custom cards for pretty much any event. They actually have over 180 different color options to choose from, and lots of different designs too. Whether it be announcements, or sweet sixteen invitations, they got you covered. Their designs are absolutely gorgeous!! This will be my new go-to place for cards now because they have good service, lots of design options, and all of their stuff is customizable. Basic Invite is not expensive either, and they are good if you like to personalize your cards a lot, and if you're looking for a gorgeous design.

When i first ordered the cards i thought they were going to be pretty, but when i got them in the mail i was really impressed because they were stunning. I'm not even a stationary person either but i was impressed. I love how they turned out, and i will gladly be giving these away on valentines day to my family, and friends. The photos don't do justice, you would just have to see them in real life because the cards i received were so pretty.

I made one for my best friend Gabby, and i custom wrote on it, "girl you're an awesome friend, and i seriously don't know what i would do without you as my friend. I wish you a happy Valentines day, and we can both twin with the #singlelife. And we will probably accidentally twin on Tuesday or something because that's just how we are. But i appreciate spending time with you, and you are the bestest friend anyone could ask for. I remember when i first met you i was like "i have to become friends with her", and now we are so aye. -Courtney" I love the message that i wrote on her card because we always accidentally twin, and now i can empathize it on a card.

This next card is so cute because i have my dog on it! With basic invite you can customize pretty much everything, so on this design i changed the colors around, added photos of my dog, and changed the text. I love how customizable their cards are, and customizing a card is a great way to add a personal touch to a card, and make the receiver of the card feel awesome. Basic Invite has raised, or flat text, 180 different colors, customizable foil, over 40 different colors of envelopes, and 7 types of paper to print it on. I think they are the best option for customizing a card because they have tons of designs, and lots of design elements that you could use on the cards. For my 17th birthday this year, or any other events I'm going to go to basic invite because their stuff is awesome, and there are so many different ways you could design something. Another thing to note about them is that they have an address capturing service where you can share a link on social media to request to have your friends and families addresses captured in your account so then you can send the cards out to them easier.

I made a little card for my pantry that is in my room just to make my pantry prettier. So even if you aren't getting a card for someone you can personalize something that you would use yourself. I love the little phrase i put on there, it's kind of funny. This pantry card was actually one of their holiday designs, and i revamped it, so you can pretty much take any of their designs and revamp it to be something you would like.

I also loved their little stationary cards, they are so cute if you want to write a little note to someone, or write a little phase. I hope you enjoyed this post, and got some inspiration from it. Thanks so much to Basic Invite for sponsoring this post, and i highly recommend using them for personalizing cards, or invitations. They are having a 15% off sale right now with the coupon 15FF51 if you want to go make your custom stuff. I'll see you guys on Tuesday with another blog post, and i hope you guys have a wonderful rest of your week.

A Little Boho Chic

Hey guys i know this is kind of a late post because normally i post right in the morning, but i have been so busy with work, school, and track that i don't really have any posts pre-written. It's been hard with managing everything lately, and i hope you guys can understand my struggle. #reallife. I asked for less hours so then i can still manage everything, and i only have 18 and a half hours of work this week, so not too bad. But anyways here is a cute winter to spring transition look.

I totally love this top from Target! It is super cute, and Target is seriously awesome because all of their stuff is so cute. To speak about these photos, i took them a while back when it was literally 20 degrees out. My face looks kind of weird in these pictures, but i think it's just the angle haha. There is this greenway near my house, and i took these photos on the greenway because i wanted to change up the setting a bit. I love the simple but boho vibe of this outfit. The top is what makes it a bit boho, and i  actually quite like it even through i don't have boho style.

Outfit details: My top is from Target, my jeans are from Gap, my heels are from Kohl's, and my glasses are from Coach.

I hope you enjoyed this look, and i will actually be posting on Friday this week because i will have Friday, and Saturday off from work. I also have state championships this Saturday for track, and i'm so excited but nervous. I'm literally going to book it as fast as i can go, and if i throw up after, or cause my legs to give out it's okay just as long as we win. I'm going to try to vlog at the meet maybe, and add a little clip of me booking it. I've also been working on a spring look book video lately, and it will be out once i have all the clips put together. I can't wait to see how it will turn out. Stay tuned, and i just wanted to update you guys a little bit about what's going on, and such. I will see you guys on Friday with some valentines day inspo! Have a good one.
